Ruud Horrichs (b. 1983) graduated from the Theatre Academy in Tilburg in 2010 with a site-specific production in Antwerp’s Scheld’Apen: DE KALE ZANGERES. Since then, he has worked as a teacher at the Kunsthumaniora Hasselt, among other places, and as a theatre maker with his own collective, De Eenzamen. In 2013, Horrichs wrote a dossier for a developmental grant for a theatrical investigation into the universe of the psychopath in society. His project received support from Theatermakershuis De Queeste and C-Mine Cultuurcentrum Genk. In 2015, this resulted in HORRIBLE HOMELESS MAN, a production about his recurring dream in which a man searches for the right door in a big house. The following year, Horrichs worked with industrial designer Jan Leyssens on a lecture-performance about the extent to which the future can be changed: THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT. This show toured Flemish and Dutch festivals and podiums in 2017 and 2018.
