Carli Gellings

Carli Gellings (b. 1993, Houston) graduated as a dancer from the Fontys School of the Arts Tilburg in 2015. She gained work placement experience as a dancer in productions by fABULEUS/Karolien Verlinden and Talitha De Decker. After completing her studies she appeared as a dancer and performer in productions by Max Last, fABULEUS/Anne Thuot and LAP vzw. With her graduation solo Flamingos will never die, she won the prize for Best Dutch and Belgian Dance Solos 2016 at the Festival Tweetakt. The following year at Festival Tweetakt, she then got the chance to create the first production of her own, Dit betekent voorlopig dat alles hetzelfde blijft, which was also presented at the VAART Festival organized by fABULEUS. At the end of 2019, she and three other makers cofounded a company for young audiences, BATMAT, in which she is currently active as a maker and performer. She also appears as a dancer and performer in productions by WOEST, Collectief dOFt and LAP vzw. In 2020 she started working as a choreographer by creating We Go Places, a show for young people coproduced by fABULEUS and seven cultural centres in Limburg.
