Martijn Gielen & Tim Taveirne

Martijn Gielen (b. 1992) studied Theatre at the University of Antwerp. In 2020, he graduated as a performer/theatre maker from the Drama department of the School of Arts|KASK Ghent. He made shows for the Villanova Festival and trained with Theater Zuidpool (Phaedra) and under Guy Cassiers while studying at the university. While studying for his Master’s at KASK, he trained as a dramaturge for Yellow by Luk Perceval. At Zuidpool, he appeared in Moya De Feyter’s Massastrandingen and Orgie, he made the show Vogels and participated in the Lichaamsbeelden master class. Are you close is his graduation project for the Drama programme at the School of Arts|KASK Ghent.

Tim Taveirne (b. 1994) is an actor and author. He obtained his degree in Drama from the School of Arts|KASK Ghent in 2017. At Zuidpool, together with Loes Swaenepoel, he premiered his graduation project Stil(l), which was selected for Love at first Sight#2 and Theater aan Zee. For the script of his play Stil(l), he was nominated for the Sabam prize for young playwrights. In 2019 he appeared in Beginners, a show by Piet Arfeuille and Nathalie Teirlinck. He additionally made his TV debut in the Canvas series Fiskepark.
