Party time! The god Dionysus whips up his Bacchantes. Beats boom from the boxes. Ecstasy! Until everything goes off the rails. Le Mouton Noir, a young company formed by Scarlet Tummers and Khadija El Kharraz Alami, have now worked with Bas Zemering and Evgenia Brendes to make a contemporary adaptation of Euripides’ The Bacchantes. They ask questions about our fear of strangeness, of the stranger, of the outsider, the migrant, the fortune-seeker, of… today’s black sheep.
