Aurelie de Marino unearths a forgotten film scenario from 1968 in order to examine an important question: How can you acknowledge the injustice of the dominant, white, male power structures and simultaneously use those very structures to strengthen your own position? Together with five companions, Aurelie stages the script of If there weren’t… in order to expose this paradox. Everybody dons a costume and plays their role, but is a human heart still beating beneath all of this?
