Chloé en Anton

Amos Tindemans & Judith Van Oeckel

Chloé en Anton tells the story of an actor and a dancer rehearsing a show about rejection and the subsequent emotional damage. The two are also lovers in ‘real’ life, but that relationship has been coming apart at the seams over the past few days. What has been happening offstage also begins to be evident onstage. As the rehearsals progress, their bickering sucks all of the energy from the creative process. The storyline of the show and their own reality slowly but surely begin to intertwine. This causes extreme tension and emotional outbursts with painful consequences.

Chloé en Anton provides a distressingly accurate look at failure and loss. As a viewer, you feel rather embarrassed when you catch yourself indulging in voyeurism.
