Esther van der Wel (b. 1997, Nijmegen) earned a degree in Cabaret at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp in 2022. They like making things that do something to people, that are real and personal, but without heaviness or fuss and bother. It should stay enjoyable, after all. Hoogtij(d) is Esther’s first solo show and is more or less about everything. Opinions, anti-opinions, the King, gender and farmers. But above all it’s about humanity, and a little bit about love.
