MOB Rebels Art Platform disembarks at youth and cultural centres, high schools or academies, and museums. MOB appeals to the artist's mindset of young people and the artistic citizenship of theatre makers, and we are impatient. Because this is our time, NOW!
MOB rows with the oars that are at hand, steering an artistic course towards Flanders and Brussels, sometimes obliquely, but always together with young people and artists.
MOB wants to amaze, confuse and seduce. Wants to watch and cherish. To listen, call and save. But… what is it that needs saving?
A house? The city? A treeless square?
Our conscience? Our trust? Our desires?
The collective power? Your haircut? My beard? Our hearts?
During short and longer trajectories, in school or after school, using various forms of art and always fuelled by mutual inspiration, MOB explores “What to do now about this planet of ours, what to do about ourselves?!” And above all: Where can we start, and when?!
The MOB WERKPLAATS in Antwerp is a workplace that starts with the performing arts – that is to say: performance, theatre, music, slam poetry, dance, movement and mime. Sometimes we like to look further and bring in other disciplines. We are not result-oriented, but above all offer space, a relaxed atmosphere, and time to discover, try out and grow.
