OTTESSA

OTTESSA is Matilde Casier, Colette Goossens, Lilith Pas and Eliza Stuyck. This young collective has been selected for the ‘Eigen Kweek’ (homegrown) trajectory and is ready and eager to unleash their first show on you. 

Matilde Casier (b.1995 she/her) 
After completing her studies in Literature at the University of Ghent, Matilde graduated in Drama at KASK in Ghent, in 2023. She often seeks out collective spaces and experiences that teeter between life and death. She capped off her studies with the project Het Personeel (2023) and has performed in shows such as The Smile off Your Face by Ontroerend Goed (2021-...), Operette by Tibaldus (2022) and Planet Winter by Bavo Buys, Malique Fye and Martha Balthazar (2024). In 2022, together with Bavo Buys and Fiene Zasada, she founded De Miserabeln, a West Flemish musical intervention collective. She will soon appear in the VRT broadcasting series Chantal (eyeworks). 

Colette Goossens (b.1999 she/her) 
In 2022, Colette graduated as a theatre maker, actress and writer from the Drama department at KASK and the Royal Conservatoire in Ghent. She made the solo show My Brother: The Walrus (2021), and together with Stan Martens and Laurens Aneca, she made Under the Influence (2024). Both shows started with hyper-personal content and were selected for the Theater aan Zee festival. She also appeared as an actress in Losers Get Lost (2021) by De Kopergietery, Pinokkio (2022) by Jonas Baeke/Jef Hellemans, and Monstera (2022) by Compagnie Cecilia.

Lilith Pas (b. 2001 she/her) 
Lilith is an actress and theatre maker. She graduated in Acting from the Drama Department of the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp in 2023. In her artistic practice, she likes to start from the visual arts. For her graduation project Lullaby for a Muse (2023), she attempted to build a monument to the muse, together with Eliza Stuyck. She participated in the productions Danzas Climaticas (2020) by Amanda Piña and The Smile off Your Face (2021-...) by Ontroerend Goed. 

Eliza Stuyck (b. 1995 she/her) 
After earning her BA in Art History, Musicology and Theatre Studies at the University of Ghent, Eliza studied Acting at the Drama Department of the Royal Conservatoire in Antwerp. She took her first steps as a theatre maker together with Lilith Pas in the graduation projects Jozef K. (2022), an adaptation of Franz Kafka's The Trial, and Lullaby for a Muse (2023). As an actress, she has performed in Ontroerend Goed's Every Word Was Once an Animal (2021-...), A Game of You (2021-...), The Smile off Your Face (2021-2023) and Fight Night (2024-...). She also works as an actress in fiction series and film.
