Female Takeover stands for uninhibited, vigorous and untamed girl power. This female collective was founded in 2015 with an eye to sisterhood. Since then, these artists have made their mark on Antwerp’s creative scene and have built up an extensive network in both the visual arts and the world of dance, music and performance.
With Heartbeat of the City, Female Takeover curates an itinerary with some unexpected stimuli. The collective takes you to various surprising places in the inner city, each with a different heart rate. The programme will make your heart beat faster and slower. Female Takeover guarantees an artistic route culminating in a big rush of adrenaline – with lots of female talent along the way, as befits a takeover by women.
