During his residency, Lukas Rys is developing the release-show for his debut album Paper Box in the Future. This musical project sprang from fictional characters, granting him the freedom to build a universe where narrative, music, and visuals harmoniously converge.
The album explores the story of a man trapped in a futuristic office building who, as he lies dying, becomes inundated with visions of lives that are not his own. Gradually, a deeper truth about his identity emerges. Drawing inspiration from Kendrick Lamar, Björk, and Aphex Twin, Paper Box in the Future traverses the realms of hip-hop, experimental pop, and electronic music.
