THE HONEY HOUSE

Nathan Ooms

In The Honey House, we see five performers carrying out movements and actions typical of a society characterized by competition, an insatiable need for self-fulfilment and constant pressure of time. The hectic life, so to speak. They seem shocked but bored, ambitious but cynical, closely connected but miserably individual, tireless but exhausted. The promise of living the good life is like a gym with no exit: gain and pain follow each other in an ever-faster loop of intensity. What kind of bodies emerge from this condition and what kind of relationships does it create?
