Lennert De Vroey & Gilles Van Hecke

Lennert De Vroey (b. 1994) works as a writer and theatre maker. Language is important in his work, which always stems from an investigative method and often has a documentary slant. He was one of the Montignards #5 at Monty (2021), writer in residence at deBuren (2024) and appeared with Royal Deluxe at the Summer of Antwerp festival (2023). Individually, he enjoys conducting extensive research, currently on palm trees (GUM/government) and IKEA restaurants. Spatiality, travel, logistics and food are recurring themes. He also makes seasonal (Christmas) music. De Vroey studied Political Science at the University of Ghent, and Word Art at the Royal Conservatoire in Antwerp.

Gilles Van Hecke (b. 1996) studied Acting at RITCS (graduating in 2019). He works as a theatre maker at Vielleicht, as an actor for theatre companies (including The Gob Squad, Ontroerend Goed, NTGent and Theater Antigone), for film and television (DertigersHoodie, among others) and as artistic director at KAAIMAN (De Warande). Next season he will work at Cie Tartaren as a theatre maker. He directed Misschien eens zonder ironie at Vielleicht and Lieve Buren at KAAIMAN.
