The tribute band Loro arrives to play the Italian cult figure Laura. But how do you do that? Should they play her music, or Laura herself as well? Who is Laura? How did she lapse into obscurity? What does it mean to play her? And doesn’t Loro use Laura to pursue his own success? What ensues on the studio set is a moving quest for authenticity and impact in a fabricated world.
