Maria Zandvliet (Amsterdam b. 1999, she/her) completed her masters at the Drama department of KASK and the Royal Conservatoire of Ghent this year. She made her graduation project, De Sont of Mjoezik, with the support of hetpaleis. The text-based show is loosely and literally adapted from a world-famous film, The Sound of Music. Maria's work is full of references, quotes, dubs and the continuous retelling of well-known big stories. Balancing between humour and sincerity, she attempts to share her fascinations with the audience.
